Minutes for February's Meeting

The regular monthly meeting of the Homesteader's 4-H Club was held on Febuary 7, 2011, at the Kremmling Community Church.

President Shyla Bohall called the meeting to order at 2:39 p.m. The pledges were led by Liberty Mathis. Roll call was answered by your favorite movie. There were 7 members, 4 parents and no guests in attendance.

The minutes from the December meeting, special January meeting, and the January meeting, were read by Bailey Monnahan. Anna Soltis moved to change "It was decided that the club would adopt a hospital resident (Jay) to support for the year," to "a hospital resident (Jay) to support for the year, with a budget of $150." The motion was seconded by Ben Mathis. The motion passed.

Liberty Mathis moved to change both "…in Hot Sulphur Springs at the Town Hall," to "…in Hot Sulphur Springs at the Town Hall on January 3," and "…Shyla Bohall, Bailey Monnahan, Anna Soltis, Liberty Mathis, and Julie Aprill," to "…Shyla Bohall, Bailey Monnahan, Anna Soltis, and Liberty Mathis," for the special January meeting minutes. Anna Soltis seconded the motion. The motion passed.

Julie Aprill moved to change the January meeting minutes, to add "Liberty Mathis led the pledges" and "The Treasurer's report was dispensed as well." Anna Soltis seconded the motion. The motion passed.

The song was led by Julie Aprill, which was "Happy All the Time". Devotion was led by Anna Soltis on Psalm 19:1-4. Bailey Monnahan gave a report on LDC.

Old Business:
Officer's Training-Who is going? Have you let the extension office know?
Anyone want to build snowmen?-We will not be building snowmen for the hospital residents today.

New Business:
Who wants to do the March tray favors?-Bohalls will do March, Aprills will do April, Mathis' will do May.

Fair Book Ads-we have them now .

Kum & Go Books-Do we want to set up a time to sell them together in front of Kum and Go? We decided on 3:30-5:30 on March 11.

Demonstrations will be given at the April meeting.

Trip Assistance-if you are going to to District Retreat and want to use your trip assistance it is due tonight! New rules, you have to request it before council.

Camp Tobin Fund Raiser-1910, Liberty Mathis moved to donate $191 to Camp Tobin Renovation. Julie Aprill seconded the motion. The motion passed.

Cloverbud Day Camp-When? Where? Etc. May 6th, from 2:30-5:30 was decided for the date for the Cloverbud Camp. The theme is going to be Revolutionary/American.

Julie Aprill moved to reimburse Marcy Monnahan and Shelley Mathis for the surge protectors they bought. Liberty Mathis seconded the motion. The Motion passed.

Ben Mathis moved to adjourn the meeting. Liberty Mathis seconded the motion. The motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 3:31 p.m.

We will conduct a brief business meeting and make tray favors for our community service project.

Minutes for January's Meeting

The regular monthly meeting of the Homesteaders 4-H club was held on January 17, 2011, at the Kremmling Community Church.

President Shyla Bohall called the meeting to order. The pledges were led by Liberty Mathis. The reading of the minutes were dispensed until the Febuary meeting. The reading of the Treasurer's report was dispensed as well.

Old Business: It was decided that everyone would bring a little goodie for Jay every meeting. Also, every other month the club would buy something for him such as a tee-shirt, calendar, etc.

New Business: We decided that the club would reimburse every member who was attending a camp such as LDC, District Retreat, ect. for $25 with the exception of $50 for CWF.

Announcements:
Stock Show-this Wednesday. We are leaving the Extension office at 8:00 a.m.
Next Council Meeting-Febuary 7th in Hot Sulphur at 7:00.
Next Club Meeting-Febuary 7th at 2:30, sewing at 3:30.

Minutes for Special Meeting

There was a special meeting called to order after the Grand County 4-H Council meeting in Hot Sulphur Springs at the Town Hall on January 3, 2011.
Shyla Bohall called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. Shyla Bohall, Bailey Monnahan, Liberty Mathis, and Anna Soltis were in attendance.
It was decided that the club would pay for Stock Show tickets for all the members that attended Stock Show. The meeting was adjourned 7:38 p.m.

January Meeting

Monday, January 17th, 2011:
Location: Kremmling Community Church

Business Meeting ~ 3:30 p.m.
We will quickly discuss any current business and complete tray favors.

Knifty Knitters Night ~ 4:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Open to ALL Grand County 4-H'ers
We will be making baby hats for the Steamboat Springs Hospital. Our club has some extra knifty knitters and yarn, or bring your own if you like. They are very easy to make and no knitting experience is necessary. We can teach you how to make the baby hats.

Please bring finger foods to share with everyone and be prepared for a fun night of visiting, watching a movie, and doing something for others.

President Shyla Bohall called the meeting to order. Liberty Mathis led the pledges. There were 7 members, 3 parents and no guests in attendance.

It was decided that the club would adopt a hospital resident (Jay) to support for the year and that we would spend $150.

The meeting was adjourned.

Gift and cookie exchanges followed the meeting.

Friday, December 17, 2010:

Sewing ~ 11:30 a.m.
Sewers will work on a Christmas-related project. Shawn will let us know the supply list as the time draws near.

Christmas Party ~ 1:30 p.m.
Homesteaders will celebrate Christmas with a gift and cookie exchange. To participate in the cookies exchange, please bring 2 dozen homemade cookies per family (not per child). Gifts need to be homemade and under $5 in cost.
