Recap of April 2018 Meeting

Ben’s 4-H Council Meeting Report

Council Fundraiser: Volunteer to sell 4-H truck raffle tickets with the council on May 12th.


Districts 11 and 12 are proposing that the State redefine all district boundaries.
Ben will scan and email the documents for everyone to review.  
You can share your thoughts at the next council meeting.


The council will be working on new ways to involve club participation for 4-H Week in October.


Old Business
Fruit sales went well at the HSS government complex.
Foster and Ben shared about their experiences at District Retreat.
Do any of the new club members have questions about the fruit fundraiser?  Everyone - it’s time to sell!

New Business

Thank-You’s
The club received a thank-you from Silver Spruce residents for the previous tray favors.


Community Service
The club voted to renew our fair book ad ($45) and our Friend donation for the Middle Park Fair.

The club voted to renew the $400 scholarship to Sew It Seamz for 2018-2019.

Mark Your Calendars!
The club business meeting dates for May and June were changed:
Friday, May 18th @ 1pm at Kremmling Community Church
Friday, June 1st @ 12 pm at Hot Sulphur Springs Community Church.  Bring a picnic lunch!
Moms, I did not write down where we decided to have our June meeting - KCC or HSSCC?

4-H Projects
The due date to DROP your 4-H project without penalties is May 1st.  Decide now if you can finish!
Contact the office if you cannot complete your project, which includes:
Attend a minimum of 6 meetings
Give a demonstration
Complete your record book
Prepare your exhibit and show it on Exhibit Day or the Fair
Participate in community service and fundraiser activities
If you do not drop the project and do not complete it, you cannot do that same project next year.  
Also, the club is penalized and does not receive our 100% completion award.

Community Service Opportunity
4-H’ers are needed to make cookies to give out at the Health Fair - April 28th in  Kremmling.
If you are interested, please call Cindy at 724-3190.
Council Fundraiser: Sell truck raffle tickets at City Market on Saturday, May 12th:
11:00-1:00  or 1:00-3:00  or 3:00-5:00
A sign-up sheet is available at the office.
Remember that if you sell five truck tickets it can replace one hour of concessions (trip assistance).
