Recap of June's Meeting

by Shelly Mathis

The Homesteaders 4-H Club met on Monday, June17th, around 1 p.m. at the Kremmling Community Church.

Club's current checking account balance: $650.66

Old Business:
Dairy Farm Field Trip - Friday, July 19th
The club voted to buy everyone lunch somewhere along the way, before the tour.  Tish and her children will meet us there. Shelly will research lunch ideas and contact Kristi  Moyer to verify an approximate time to arrive at the dairy (we thought around 12:30-1:00 p.m.).

Kum & Go Booklet Sales
Liberty & Ben, Foster, and Julie turned in their earnings from these sales; all booklets that they had were sold.  Booklets are still out with Molly and Marcy.

Gymkhana Concessions - Saturday, July 20th
Marcy and Shelly will work together to organize the concessions and contact everyone via email.  Everyone present at the meeting said they could be there to work.

New Business:
Demonstrations
Liberty Mathis gave her demonstration on Light vs. Dark Pans with Baking, and Ben Mathis gave his demonstration on High Altitude Adjustments in Baking.

Everyone else will give their demonstrations at the next meeting (or at the dairy farm tour, if need be).

Reimbursement
Liberty wrote a reimbursement check to Shyla Bohall for $25 to go toward her trip to State 4-H Conference.

Tray Favors
After adjournment, everyone made fantastic ocean-themed candy tray favors that Foster designed and delivered them to the seniors.

REMINDER:  Molly Scruggs volunteered to bring tray favors to the July meeting.

NEXT MEETING: We changed the next club meeting to be Monday, July 1st, at 1:00 p.m. (a new time) at the Kremmling Community Church.
