The monthly meeting for the Homesteaders 4-H club was held Friday, April 17, 2015.
Liberty Mathis called the meeting to order at 1:26 p.m. Molly Scruggs said the prayer. Ben Mathis read a devotion from Proverbs 3:5-6. Foster Krempin led the pledges. Audrey Wheatley did the roll call. Members answered with their favorite kind of cookie. There were 11 members and 4 parents. Audrey read the minutes. Jill Wilkinson moved to accept the minutes. Shiloh French seconded it; the motion passed. Ben read the treasurer’s report . We have $1,100 in the scholarship fund and $1,713.73 in the checking account. Taylah French moved to accept the treasurer’s report. Jill seconded it; the motion passed.
Old Business:
The Peachfork Field Trip will be from 11am-1:30. Pizza will be provided for lunch. Marcy will continue on community service at Silver Spruce. Audrey, Ben, and Liberty gave reports on District Retreat in Glenwood Springs. Fruit selling at the courthouse went well. Krempins, Walls, Mathis, and French's went to sell.
New Business:
Audrey and Bailey Monnahan will be doing demonstrations at the May meeting. For tray favors in May we will be making boxes with candy inside. We will be having an ice cream party for 100% completion on June 30th at 4pm after the meeting.
Bailey will do the prayer, Jill will read a devotion, and Flint will supply refreshments.
Liberty and Foster did demonstrations after the meeting.
Foster moved to adjourn the meeting at 2:02. Ben seconded it; the motion passed.
