Minutes for October's Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Homesteaders 4-H club was held on October 3, 2011, at the Kremmling Community Church.
President Shyla Bohall called the meeting to order at 3:38 p.m. The pledges were led by Liberty Mathis. Roll call was answered by your favorite holiday. There were 6 members, 5 parents, and 3 guests in attendance.
Bailey Monnahan read the minutes from the May meeting. Ben Mathis moved to approve the minutes and Liberty Mathis seconded the motion. The motion passed.
New Business: Goals for new year? Field Trip Ideas? We came up with a dairy farm and potato chip factory for field trip ideas.
Community Service Ideas? Jay? Some ideas we had were: play games at Silver Spruce/ALC, tray favors, adopt a soldier.

4-H Fall Fest/BYOP-October 28th. Need helpers. 4-H T-shirt design-need more ideas!
Achievement Day-November 4th at 6:00 p.m. at the Extension Hall.
Fraser Open House-October 5th. 5-6:30 p.m. at the Fraser Historic Church.
Granby Open House-October 12th 6:30-8 p.m. at Granby Community Center.
CLC-Registration due October 28th, grades 6-9. Actual camp November 11-13th, $110.00.
Adjournment: Ben Mathis moved to adjourn the meeting. Liberty Mathis senconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m.

October's Schedule

Business Meeting ~ Monday, October 3rd ~ 3:30 p.m.
We will hold our first business meeting of the new year on Monday, October 3rd at 3:30 p.m. at the Kremmling Community Church.

PLEASE BRING...
National 4-H Week: Please bring the baked goodies of your choice to the meeting. We will mix them up on plates and deliver them to local businesses. I will make a note to bring plates from our concessions tub, plastic wrap, and National 4-H labels.

Knifty Knitters: For those of you who have Knifty Knitters and yarn, please bring them to the meeting, as well. Also, please bring extra knitters, yarn, and hooks for those who do not own their own. We will be knitting baby hats to donate to the Steamboat Springs hospital - as time allows that afternoon before attending the 4-H Council meeting.

4-H Award Interviews ~ Wednesday, October 19th ~ Beginning at 5 p.m.

If you were nominated for an award and submitted your questionnaire, then check the schedule for when your interview is.


Sewing Pot Holders ~ Thursday, October 20th ~ 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
CSU Extension Hall
We will be sewing pot holders to sell at the Kremmling Preschool Craft Fair in December. Please bring your sewing machine, sewing kit, thread, scissors, and a sack lunch.


Corn Maze ~ Thursday, October 27th
ETD from CSU Extension Hall at 9 a.m.
Bring a sack lunch.


Fall Fest ~ Friday, October 28th ~ 5 - 8 p.m.
Come for a night of fun at the CSU Extension Hall. Enjoy carnival booth, a hay ride, pumpkin patch, free concessions, and more!


Serve at the Culbreath 50th Anniversary Luncheon ~ Saturday, October 29th
Those of you who signed up for this will be assisting the family by serving their meal. Come wearing black pants, a white shirt, a smile, and a heart ready and willing to serve. Thank you for representing our club!
